While this is not a permanent union, the armor draws its nourishment (it needs a paltry amount) directly from the wearer for as long as it’s worn. As long as the wearer maintains their health and eating habits, there is no need to worry about the armor’s needs. Unlike the bulky metal plate armors which this symbiont emulates, it functions almost as a second skin and has no encumbrance penalties.
